1.      Definition of  Analytical text

Analytical Text is a text that elaborates the writer‘s idea about the phenomenon surrounding. Its social function is to persuade the reader that the idea is important matter, and to analyze the topic that the thesis/opinion is correct by developing an argument to support it.

 

2.      Generic structure

       Generic Structure of Analytical Text:

            - Thesis: Introducing the topic and indicating the writer’s point of view

            - Argument: Explaining the argument to support the writer’s position. The number of                              arguments may vary, but each argument must be supported by evidence and explanation.

            - Reiteration: Restating the writer’s point of view / to strengthen the thesis. We can use the                      following phrase to make conclusion in reiteration.

 

3.      Purpose

To convince the reader that the topics presented was an important topic to be discussed or gained attention by way of providing arguments or opinions that support the main idea or topic.

 

4.      Language features

– Using relational process: Relationships between and among leaders, workers, followers, partners, co-workers, etc. people knowing and caring about people.

– Using internal conjunction: Elaborating and itemizing steps in an argument (Firstly, secondly, next, finally).

– Using causal conjunction: the cause of an event, because.

– Using Simple Present Tense: Bruno is quiet boy

– Using compound and complex sentence: When I feel sad and my family is far way, I will call them by phone.

6. Writing Analytical Text

Family support is a form of interaction in which there is a relationship of giving and receiving real assistance carried out by the family. Family support is also the most important element in providing assistance to individuals in dealing with problems and increasing self-confidence. Family support is very influential on the quality of family life namely having a good impact on individuals in the family, such as improving health, facilitating administrative procedures, supporting and caring for other family members, and the availability of caregivers to provide support in the family.

The family as a social system has functions that can being a major source of support for the individual, such as raising a feeling of belonging between family members, ensures friendship sustainable and provide a sense of security for its members. Good family support can suppress the emergence of stressors in individuals who receive support and increase self-confidence so that the child can deal with his situation well. It can degrade child's depression level.

Depression can be influenced by various factors, including depression organ function, loss of livelihood, lifestyle changes and etc. For this reason, a family approach is needed management of depression is by providing support to children. Family support can be realized by being empathetic, giving attention, encouragement, advice, knowledge and so on. Through support family, the child will feel that someone is still paying attention so that the child can deal with stress.
